Hi saxonw

What a mystery......................you won't believe it, if one day, someone stumbles across, one, or both of them, on records somewhere   ;)

With living family, so close as well, you would think sometime, somewhere, something will turn up??!!   ???

Goodness, what a search you would have had through NAAIRS and please tell me, how long these days, does it take to get a death certificate/notification from them please?   :o

Cheers

Well I can't trace it up it was about 18 months ago(  these two have been irritating me for about 3 years) but if I remember it was about 6 weeks, But it looked like the right death notification but it wasn't. And the evidence on it was such that I knew it wasn't made up but it was not the  wastrel I was looking for.

What a waste, saxonw getting the wrong certificate for the "Wastrels".

I'm going to cross fingers for you and look forward to hearing good news.

Are you any good on lookups, especially for Scotland?  I'm in a new post there, Grace Aitken, b. Tennant, Edinburgh, in Scotland, Midlothian section, my G Grandmother????  ???

Cheers

I'm good for look up for Scotland fine as long as its census not Scotland's people (ie BMD) no Scots  (too many Irish  in my family and a Welsh husband) but the real problem is a set of English peasants. So I'll see if I can add my tuppenceworth
