I think I might have something like it:

yeom[an] 1 dun pacing cropt on the near ear 7 years old
price 5L 1s [5 pounds 1 shilling].  Vouchers etc.

'pacing' is all I can make of the word in the 3rd line after 'dun', not sure but 5 quid sounds like a lot of money for an ordinary horse so perhaps a good pacer was worth more money.  I think the horse was 'cropt on the near ear' - i.e. had a nick cut out of its left ear - and the Vouchers, as suggested, were the guarantors of the purchase.

Prue  :)

I think pacing is correct - it seems to be a particular gait. Later on the Rowley family are listed as bargemen and Thomas Syner's son was a trowman. Perhaps this type of horse had the stamina for bow hauling?

(Not sure about near ear though)
