Doherty in Ballycallan Clondavaddog
« on: Wednesday 22 April 09 15:42 BST (UK) »
My 2nd greatgrandmother was Catherine Doherty, married to Edward Deeney and lived in Magherawarden.  She probably died around 1865.  She had a sister named Una (Unity, Winnifred) who was married to an Edward Dunleavy who lived in Claggan.  Another sister named Margaret married to a Rosnakill Deeney, and another sister married to a Francis McGettigan.  I would love to know where these Doherty sisters are from.  Any help?

Suspect that Rosnakill is a place name rather than a first name.
This page looks like it might have some information for you:

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks, I should have put "a Deeney from Rosnakill".  I have the info on the Magherawarden Deeneys, it is the Doherty's I am after.  I do not know where they are from.
