BDM Lookup please Victoria 1850s - LAMBERT

Seeking any evidence of a child born to Alexander Methven Lambert & his wife Jane Matilda Mullin between 1853 and 1857 in Victoria. They had a child (Robert James) born in 1858 at Ballaarat but the certificate states there was a child living at that time, name unknown! So just curious about this...

Only see first born in 1858 at Ballarat, the others
(4) at Inlewood (2) and Blue Mt (2).
No deaths show that would match.

Just flying a kite here - were the parents married in Aus, or UK?  If in UK perhaps the first child was born there??  I found tao children in one of my families that we didn't know about who were born before the couple arrived here, so thought it may be worth asking.

Alexander's or Matilda Jane's 1925 death cert  in WA should give you all the names of her chn ie if the informant had the knowledge.

Judith they were married in Vic in 1852 - info on another thread.

This death in Victoria would be  a connection to your line?

William Alexander Lambert  parents are given as Alex Methven and Jane "Marilda" Mullens rego #10923  for 1935 in Victoria aged 74 esr dob= 1863

 I assume you have ruled out the Alexander Lambert who died aged 45 in Victoria 1873 rego #8755 from Cork. I understand that no details are on the index but he is in the right age range and there are few Alexander Lamberts around in the records.

I noticed that Jane Matilda Lambert nee Mullins was  born in Belfast.

Rob another of their chn birth certs should give you the name.  Usually the names of previous chn born are on birth certs.  Perhaps a cert of the last child born which appears to be Frederick Henry in 1867 Reg#6731

I can only see four birth to this couple in the indexes.

I also wondered if the death in 1873 of an Alexander MULLINS  LAMBERT aged 45  b. Cork could be your man....or did he go to WA with Jane Matilda?
