thank you everyone for your replies. It seems that Douglas Grundy and Frederick Allan Norris are the same person from what I can see. The WW1 website has a Frederick Allan Douglas Grundy with the same birthdate and place with Beryl Grundy as next-of-kin. I wasn't sure if it was the right person

Hi Harley.
The record I have given you above is WW2 and holds all the information you have mentioned in your last reply.

I guess you mean ww2 as DOUGLAS would be too young to join up for WW1

Sue.

Hi Harley,

I have Alfred Ernest GRUNDY married to Ethel Harriet NORRIS in my family tree.  I have no information on them other than their marriage, but do have information on Alfred's family going back to Arthur Grundy who was buried in 1729 in Berkshire, England.

Alfred is the son of John GRUNDY and Sarah Jane MORGAN.  This John is the son of John GRUNDY and Maria HALES.  I am descended from another son of John and Maria's.

I would love to be able to get the details of Alfred and Ethel's family.  I would be very pleased to share what Grundy information I have with you.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Was Ethel born at Greenponds in 1889 to William Norris and Emma Denny?

Hi Harley,
I wonder whether the interesting connection given by Debbie [Walcha72] will lead you further on your way ;D

Cando has already given you a wonderful amount of information about the HOUSE family, but you may like to look at this extensive tree published by another person interessted in HOUSE.

http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/margettsb/House.htm

You may also like to revisit the site I gave you earlier and see  burial locations for HOUSE.  Perhaps even a portrait or 2.

http://eheritage.statelibrary.tas.gov.au/

There are 4 Wills for house in the Tasmanian Archives
