You have just beat me to it Heywood and I think you have cracked it . Cashel is a stone fort, thus Cashel and Castle more or less have the same meaning and Longford is the only County in Ireland with a parish named Cashel.

Well I would definitely be cautious though. There are plenty of places I think - Cashel or partly 'Cashel' but it would be worth getting the other marriage details to check the father's name - erick, you can order them online through GRO site.

I meant to say what makes you think he was a twin?

1871 has this entry in addition to the Thomas one I mentioned earlier (the Turners are also Longford where Thomas is lodging:

1871 RG10; Piece: 2962; Folio: 22; Page: 37
Wednesbury Road Walsall

Patsy Connoston boarder unmarried 25  Coal Miner b Ireland County Longford

(the age is a bit difficult to read and could be 35 but not sure at all)
he is with a Kennedy family and Mr Kennedy is also Longford (often happens that people stay with own county folk).

One of my most treasured possesions is the 'General Alphabetical Index to the Townlands and Towns, Parishes and Baronies of Ireland' (1851) and I can assure you there is no other parish in Ireland named or beginning with Cashel. There are numerous townlands commencing Cashel and there is the town of Cashel in Co Tipperary but only one parish.

Also, Lackey is definitely a pet name for Loughlin, a name I have encountered several times.
