Could this have been the problem from the very beginning when only causing problems for a select few, mainly Tiscali users?
I have not been able to access the site using the normal address with either IE or Firefox, but the link posted by Poirot and Trystan as been fine up until today. I was on and off all last evening with no probs.

No, the Tiscali thing was a different problem to this one. Not long to wait now - around 7 o'clock it should be working.

The site now works for me, and there are some changes, so I assume it was being updated. Can we all access the site now, and is this thread closed?

funny because I was able to search a few times on it but for about 2 weeks now I've been unable to access, I am getting exactly the same as the original poster, cannot find server, just clicked the link above and got the same!

Any time the LDS site is unobtainable, e.g. for maintenance, this site will let you view the 1881 census free.
