« on: Saturday 25 April 09 09:58 BST (UK) »
Hi, This location, I thought at first, was Windsor.

Not so sure now..... The 'castle gate' at the top, is a tad to close.  :-\

     Many thanks, Lesanne.

Agree with Bob that the clothing does not look at all English.

The people and many  of the buildings don't look very english either.

Cobbled street - could be english, but even today, many european streets are still cobbled.

Shuttered windows (above the shop the left of the second picture) - could be France, Germany or Italy.

         Oh.... how interesting....   :P :P :P

I'll have to go back to the Cochrane thread as, the Buysman father, if I remember rightly, is from Holland, on a census find.
He is an Oyster merchant.....   :o
