Even though the names are the same, the birthplaces are far apart.

If you are able to get to the Clwyd Family History centre in Cefn Mawr, they have a good range of Parish Register transcriptions to look at.
Also at Wrexham Museum there are microfilms of local parish registers that will cover the areas you are looking at as well as local  area transciptions
1841 census isn`t available for the Broughton area, so I think  it`s your best way to search.
These are not online, so a visit is needed. This will give you an idea of what is available.

Good luck  :)

I would expect that if Mary was 66 in 1851 she was born c 1785.
Then a marriage to John should be in Wrexham PR`s as long as they were not Non Conformist. It should say which parish they were in at the time of marriage.
The sons John and Joseph might not be in PR`s as they start a little later than their births, but I think there are later years available now.

Where does the info that they were in Bontuchel in 1840 come from. ???

Hi

It looks like we could share an ancestor - I have mapped out my Salisbury ancestors on Geni.com, which is free if you are not already registered.

I am just starting on the Salisbury side of my family and will be happy to share info.

Hi

Thanks for your message - yes it would be great to collaborate on the Salisbury branch!  I've already found a Salisbury relative (my fourth cousin once removed) this week  :)

For some reason I cannot reply to your message?  Not sure I've registered properly for this service?

Can you send another message and include your email address... or help me send you mine???

Cheers
Ceri (Brynfor is my user name)

New members must make at least three postings before being allowed to use the PM facility.

If you are sending PMs to new members who have less than three posts you will receive an error message, that your limit, or allowed number has been reached. (note that it says your limit, although it actually refers to the recipient.)

This is from the Help section, so it look like you need to make another couple of posts..    Nothing much is needed.  :)
