I have to agree, it looks like Twickenham. I'll just accept that it was a mistake

I have seen his birth record and it says Holborn.

But are you sure it was his birth record and not the other one!

In 1851 he just gives birthplace as London, Middx.
HO107 1668 186 12

So where is the info that led you to say he was born Holborn and therefore to get the Holborn birth cert?

Hi,

Would his Greenwich Pensioner records show his birthplace?

As the enumerator in Hampshire might not have been familiar with Middlesex places could it be Turnham Green, Tottenham or even Ickenham?

I tried Googling "Turkenham, Middlesex" and got nothing.
