Sarah Ann Mckever
« on: Wednesday 29 April 09 13:10 BST (UK) »

Hi all

The reason this has been placed on the General Board is because the parents married in Suffolk, lived in Essex, Kent and Norfolk with some moving to London and Middlesex.

Sarah Ann Mckever was b c1825 in Clac[k]ton, Essex the daughter of Felix McKever and Sarah, nee Bearman.

The only info we have is the 1851 Census.

1851 England Census Row 59, Row Houses, Yarmouth Northern, Norfolk
Sarah Ann McKever
Felix McKever     66 Head Coast Guard Pensioner b Derry, Ireland
Sarah McKever     47 b Woolwich, Kent
Sarah Ann McKever 25 K N b Clackton, Essex
Jane McKever     18 Apprentice Dressmaker b Woolwich, Kent
James McKever     16 Plumber Painter Glazier Apprentice b Yarmouth Norfolk
Emma McKever     12 Scholar b Yarmouth Norfolk
 HO107/ Piece 1806/ Folio 816/ Page 19

Can't find a birth, marriage or a death or census for her after this time.

The 1866 marriage to James Mingay is her mother.

Any advance would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Mark :)

Hello

I think that this is the same McKever family in 1841 ....

Great Yarmouth HO107/794/2 Folio 34 Page 16

Felix McIver 55 Coast Guard
Sarah do 35
Henry do 15 ?
Sarah do 14
Caroline do 10
Jane do 8
James do 6
Henry do 4
Mary do 2

Walls, St Nicholas, Great Yarmouth

I cannot read what the occupation of Henry is and I cannot see whether they were born in or out of the County. The original sheet is very faint.

I think that the person shown as Caroline was really called Eleanor and I think the person listed here as Mary is actually Mary Emma, who died in 1857.

I cannot find the daughter Sarah after 1851 nor can I locate either of the two people listed as Henry after 1841.
