Chattels and hedits (?):  probably an abbreviation for hereditaments

Widow deceased which since her death:  with a long 's'

the grandmother, next of kin and ... hard to tell when the lower part is cut off. Is it an E? Could it be an abbreviation for Executor?

:)

I think the first might be Credits.

I agree with Koromo about the others.

Thank you Koromo. Fancy me not seeing the word since - sometimes one can look and try too hard.

Could it be Chattels and credits  ???

There are 4 pages of probate altogether - am doing quite well with them but just sticking on the odd word.

Rebecca Buskin left 3 little boys orphaned - except for Grandma they were all alone  :(

Thanks again........

PS Hello Mike - just about to post and you beat me. Perhaps we are correct with credits  ::)

On reflection, as a woman she would have been Executrix, so I'm less certain about that one.

Hi Emmeline,

After a little research, I believe it is Curator or Guardian

Legal definition: "a guardian of a minor, lunatic, or other incompetent, esp. with regard to his or her property"

Mike.  :)

Hello Mike - Yes, I feel sure you are correct with Curator. A word we do not use today in the context of a Guardian. Thank you.

Have copied a little further down  the page and feel sure now the word I queried originally is credits.
May have to call on you again later Mike......... :)
