Hi Paul

This is what we have - I think it's is his baptism in 1818 that we need.

I have gone back as far as my great grandfather x3 John Pierce, he lived and was born in Gwyddelwern in around 1818 and died 23 november 1887. He was the parish clerk and he married Amelia Jones of Corwen. Amelia was born around 1816 and died 28 July 1897.

Their children were Richard Goodman Pierce, Henry Pierce, Harriot Pierce, Louisa Pierce and Simon Goodman Pierce.

Simon is my greatgrandfather x2

Hi Paul, that is great thank you so much :D

I don't have details of their children's baptisms, but I have a copy of their son simon's birth cert. He was born 12 Feb 1855 in the village of Gwyddelwern.

Do you have any sort of educated guess as to which of the two possibe Johns' born in 1818 is the right one?

Baptisms for the children of John & Amelia Pierce. abode Gwyddelwern. Fathers Occupation, Parish Clerk.
Jan 1 1845. Richard Goodman.
March 25 1849. Henry.
Jan 13 1852. Louisa.
March 18 1855. Simon.
I couldn't see Harriot :(

Your guess is as good as mine as to the right John baptism :-\

What I could do is look through the baptisms for any other children of John & Jane and see if John & Gwen married and had more children.
That might throw up a clue :-\

Paul.
