Really   :D   I assume you the 4 weddings chap  :D

Forgot Emily in 1871   :-\

She and her husband had moved from Grazely to Bressingham, Cambs. where Freeman was Vicar;  one additional son - Archibald  -  at home,  and the two older boys (Charles Louis Nepean Bishop and Frederick William Freemantle Bishop) were both at Charterhouse   :)

They were there at the same time as Robert Baden - Powell   ;)

I'm getting confused, doing the whole family census by census - I'm going to switch to one person at a time   ;D

Evan and Ann both died in the next decade.

Evan age 73 Q1. 1873 St George Hanover Square

Ann age 63  Q3. 1871 Chard.

Wonder what she was doing down there  :-\

William Frederick died age 50  Q2. 1885  Edmonton

EMILY  cont..

Emily herself died 1893:

Emily Huskisson Crole  age 58  Q4. 1893 Royston.

I haven't been able to spot Archibald in either 1891 or 1901, but since he was in the army he was in all probability overseas.

Charles Louis Nepean Bishop

Married Q3. 1883 Portsea to Fanny Jessie Bessant.

They had three known children:

Freeman Charles N  in 1884
Zoe Jessie N  in 1885
Eric Louis N in 1890

In 1891 Charles was a Capt. in the Royal Marine Artillery,  in 1901 a Major.
The family lived in Portsmouth in 1890 and in Melcome Regis, Dorset in 1901.
In 1901 Freeman was a boarder at a school in Cheltenham (I think Cheltenham College)

Frederick William Freemantle Bishop

Frederick became a clergyman.
He married Q3. 1887 Lambeth, to Laura Annie Brookson

They had 7 children:
Agnes  1888  born St leonards Sussex
Margaret  1889  born St Leonards
Dorothy  1891
Emily Isobel  1894
Laura 1898
Charles Freemantle  1899
Ellen 1900

Except Agnes and Margaret the children were born Winterborne, where in 1891 Frederick was Clerk in Holy Orders at Winterbourne Down.  In 1901 he was Clergyman of Pitney, Hereford.  Agnes, Margaret and Dorothy were at school in Winterbourne, all others home;  Ellen was blind  :(

Charles died age 62 in 1891.

In 1891 Annie was living in London with sisters Mary Isobel and Frederica  -  both spinsters.

In 1901 she was in Suffolk, living with sister Augusta H Paley and her daughter Jane in Horningsheath.

Annie died aged 74 Q2. 1912 Newport Pagnell.

AUGUSTA HARRIET

As mentioned previously, Augusta married William Paley and in 1871 they were living with his parents.

In 1881 they were in Freckenham, Suffolk, with daughter Jane C V . age 10 and son George age 9.

Their daughter was in fact Jone Catherine Victoria, and she had been born in 1870 and baptised at Westminster Abbey 12 July 1870 (IGI)   so I wonder where she was in 1871 ?

The family were still in Freckenham in 1891  -  George age 19 described as " Gentleman Cadet at R.M.C.  "

1901 :  as seen, Augusta and Jone were living in Horningsheath, visited by Annie.  William Victor was living alone in the house in Freckenham, accompanied by a housekeeper.  George  -  now a Captain in the Rifle Brigade - was staying at the Hotel Cecil in London.

MARGARET EMMA

As mentioned previously,  Margaret married Albert Peareth and was widowed with 4 young children in 1871.

She re-married in Q2. 1873 Hastings, to William James M Ruxton, a clergyman.
They had 4 daughters:

Margaret Edna 1874
Constance Rachel M  1876
Julia Ethel  and  Catherine Eva in 1879

William died age 66 Q3. 1886.   Margaret and the girls moved to South Bersted, Sussex, with daughter Frances from her first marriage.

The three boys were at school in 1881:
William Nepean age 17  at Tunbridge Grammar
Albert Hugh Morland age 15 at Wellington College
Edward Algernon age 12 at Folkestone.

William Nepean Peareth  married Q2 1887 Hilda Maria Smith-Marriot.
In 1891 they were living in Goudhurst Kent, William a Lieut. in 97th Foot, living on own means.
They had two children:
Albert  John b. 1888 Goudhurst
Hilda Muriel D.  b. 1900 Scarborough
In 1901 Hilda Maria and baby Hilda were living in Bideford, Devon,
William died age 37  Q1. 1901 Bideford.
1901  - Albert was as Wellington College.

I can't see Albert Hugh Moorland Peareth in 1891;  in 1901 he was single, living alone and on his own means in Branksome, Dorset.

Edward was visiting in Kent in 1891, living on his own means, but I can't spot him in 1901.

Right -  loose ends  :)

Molyneux :  married Q4. 1871.  Can't see his anywhere after that.

Montague:  In 1891 turns up as Rector of Great Brickhill, Bucks.  Single
Can't see him between leaving home and then :-\
He was still in Great Brickhall in 1901 and died aged 66 Q1. 1913 Newport Pagnell.

Charles Edward Burrough :
Vicar of Lenham - Kent from 1881.  Single.
Died age 52 Q1. 1903 Hollingbourne

Augustus Adolphus
:  One sighting only after leaving home, he shows up in 1891 lodging alone in Westminster St. James, age 45, married, a Tea Merchant.  He must be favourite as father of the stray Alice born in East Indies ?

Looking for deaths reg. I also found:

Mary I age 85. Q3. 1828 Mildenhall

Herbert A.T  age 85 Q4. 1824 East Preston
Might this be the Herbert who showed up on only one census in 1841 ?

Charles Edward Burrough :
Vicar of Lenham - Kent from 1881.  Single.
Died age 52 Q1. 1903 Hollingbourne

He was actually quite a famous sportsman in his day, an FA Cup winner and county cricketer:

Charles Edward Burroughs Nepean, born 5 February 1851 in London, died 26 March 1903 in Kent. Charterhouse School and University College, Oxford (where he won a blue at both football and cricket). A goalkeeper, he missed the 1873 FA Cup final but won a winners’ medal in 1874 with Oxford University. Played cricket for Middlesex. Was ordained in 1874 and became vicar of Lenham in Kent.

I have more detailed information if required.

He played four times for Scotland in unofficial internationals in 1870-72, but I have yet to come across any links with Scotland in his family. Anyone have any ideas?
