Sarah (or Sara) HIRST Baptised c1806
« on: Saturday 09 May 09 12:13 BST (UK) »
My brother and I have traced our branch of the family tree back to a Sarah HIRST who was baptised around 1806. She had an illegitimate son named George and we think a daughter named Hannah. Both children took on the HIRST surname as Sarah was not married. The father may have been a Joseph WOOD. We know that George HIRST died on 20 January 1881. The family seems to have been centred on Mirfield in Yorkshire, and in areas specified as High Hoyland, England.

Can anyone shed any light on who Sarah may have been descended from, and who Joseph Wood may have been. I am happy to send details of our family members back to Sarah HIRST to whoever is interested.

Thanks for reading this

John
