I'm nearly there - I have:

Edward Taylor of Broseley Pipemaker in ? (an amount of money?) } to answer an
                            and                                                                ? (Judic?) ?
Henry Rainsford of Coalbrooke Dale ? (his occupation?)                     last sesions
                                                                                                   by James (mark)+
                                                                                                   Grosvenor

Can anyone help with the gaps?

Thanks Roger,

That makes sense although it doesn't look much of an "m" - I guess if we can work out the next word that would help.

The word after Coalbrookdale (beginning with G?) must be the occupation of Henry Rainsford, and is followed, I think, by another "in re". I'm not totally convinced by "last sesions" because of that extra mark just before that phrase. You're right about that word after "indictment". Could it have an apostrophe in it?

Flying a kite here Mike, but do you think it could  be " in 10£ " and " in  j£ " ?

And could it be "by Jan' " i.e. a deadline for payment ?

Just a couple of thoughts

Roger
