Deciphering rank/profession-COMPLETE
« on: Friday 15 May 09 12:39 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone,

I was wondering whether anyone could possibly cast an eye over this and help decipher what rank/profession this individual is. He was posted at Curragh Camp, Kildare, Ireland so he's in the Military.

Kind Regards,
Francesca.

Oops, just realised how huge the picture is - shouldn't have any trouble then!

Great, thank you. But what does that mean?! I'm completely unfamiliar with military lingo!

Possibly Commissariat and Transport Corps  I Found it on The Great War 1914- 1918  site
I found a few mentions of c and t corps but this seems to be the only format that fits the abbreviations.

Other than it's part of the Transport Corps I don't know what it was

I just found out from Wikipedia that the Commissariat supplied the rations.

Well done Barbara! For the life of me, I couldn't work out what it said. Now you've mentioned it, that T is so obvious!.

Definitely C&T Corps, I'd say (now).  ;D
