Hi wendy,

I've given up doing Parish look ups as too time consuming and straines ones eyes with deciphering the old scrible. But books are still on also feed/come back from other posters if read wrong. Not worth the Hassle!

Found this address in 1980 google books web page. If you write to the boss! they mostly like to give out family business history for PR. Nothing to lose.? can only say no! but think not!!!!!!

Graham's Sons & Co Ltd, Crosland Hill, Huddersfield, Yorkshire.

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi Wendy,

Well best of luck!! with Crosslandhill Boss and I leave you now untill after my library visit.

One thing though! Its possible these Grahams (above) are side winders or shoots of your Joe/Abe Graham that carried on there trade but as Stone quarries were 10 a penny 1700's & many small ones drying up to larger concerns. There are hundreds of little ones scattered about our valleys up here from that era. So be ready for any type news

regards
