ALICE and THOMAS MAGER
« on: Sunday 17 May 09 10:54 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace what became of my grandfather’s sister who, I believe, migrated to NZ. I remember, as a very young child in the 1950s, mail arriving from NZ with exotic stamps, which I begged for! ALICE Page married THOMAS MAGER in Manchester, 1907. I have nothing more to go on - I have no idea when they crossed the ocean -  so apologies for the vagueness – but if someone recognizes this rather unusual name, I would be delighted to hear from you

Hi there,

There are quite a few birth, death and marriages with the surname MAGER.

I am not able to see a death for Alice or Thomas on the on-line BDM website

All I can suggest is to have a look at the link below and see if any match what you have

http://bdmhistoricalrecords.identityservices.govt.nz/search/

If they did come to NZ they may have had children after 1909 which will not appear  on our on  line records

No doubt someone else will cpme along to help

Many thanks for your help - and for the link to NZ BMD. As you say, Alice and Thomas do not seem to be listed. As I wrote, I have only vague details about these people.
Back to the drawing board!  :)Ian

All I can say is give it some time. Others may have more of an idea of where to look than me.

If they did not come to NZ, do you think they might have gone to Australia?

Worth checking anyway
