Bryntirion workhouse
« on: Tuesday 19 May 09 19:54 BST (UK) »

 Hi all,

Do any Bryntirion workhouse records still exist, if so which record office are they deposited in?

If a child was born in the workhouse, would they be baptized there ?

Would they strongly persuade the mother to give child up for informal adoption and be able to organise it ?

The year I am researching is 1923.

Many thanks to all rootschatters for time spent

the only surviving records would appear to be the Guardians' minute books and are in the Carmarthenshire Record Office
