Shane hasn't been online for a few months and may not reply for some time but in answer to your question- the valuation revision books which start from the date of printed Griffith's Valuation until c1930 allow you to trace the occupancy of a property. The ones for Northern Ireland have been put online (
www.proni.gov.uk
) but for the Republic of Ireland you'll need to visit the archives in Dublin.
