Hi silvery,

Thank you for the information on his family. I probably should have mentioned in my first post that I've spent this weekend going through the census' trying to track down his family, thus how I came about finding he is a relative.  Francis Henry being my great grandfather, one of Albert's younger brothers.  Although on searching the 1911 census I found that he was one of twelve children, but only nine were living as of that year, but they had all been born alive. So i'm in the process of searching for the three 'missing' children.

I wasn't certain about Emma/Emily's maiden name, but it seems it probably is most likely Endacot.  As for her first name, I think maybe there was a mistake in the transcripting.

Any ideas on where to search for the 'missing' children would be of great help, if possible.

Thank you again,
Hannah

Ok, so the information I currently have on Albert Dale...
I now know who his parents are, the majority of his siblings and which regiment he initially signed up to.

I'm currently trying to find out which battalion of the Royal Sussex Regiment he belonged to.
Would anyone know how I could go about finding this information, please?

Thanks.

Hi chana !

He was in the 2/6th Battalion of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

His sister on behalf of her mother applied for his medals (the Victory and British Medals) on 23rd August 1920 and they were sent to her at 8, Market Square, Horsham, Sussex on the 27th.

Hi Colin

I've been trying to contact you for many years about Albert. I found your email address on another website, but it always bounced back. It's great to finally hear from you.

Regards,
Hannah
