I am following up the births of

Phillip McInnes   - could be Phillip MCennies born 20 September 1857 Houghton
Marian McInnes - could be Marian MCennies born 11 September 1858 Houghton

Father: Hugh    (Gaelic often known as Owen, Ewan or Hugh)
Mother: Mary

This would also run with the Death of Harriet in Mount Pleasant.

Phillip McInnes is listed on the marriage certificate of William Miller and Marian McInnes  as a witness as well as Catherine McInnes who I believe was born on the Neptune on the way to South Australia.
Wedding was at Stanley Street North Adelaide

Catherine (Kate) McInnes father Owen married John Williams 25 September 1879

meeting another 2nd cousin this morning so I am hoping to have a little more to show soon

Have a great day

Cheran

Interesting re these highland names. Hugh as a possible alternative to Owen/Ewan. Will certainly be on the lookout for that one in the future.  ;)
