Hi Guys

I've not been on the boards very much recently, lost a bit of my enthusiasm as so many brick walls, dont know which one to tackle first 

Anyway, i'm looking to change my ISP but the one i'm considering doesn't offer free webspace but I saw the above web hosting site in my recent YFT mag - the address is www.123-reg.co.uk - and it looks very reasonable.

I was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge of them and what you think about the site, etc.

Pricewise it also seems reasonable at £1.85 or £2.99 per month. I don't want to pay a fortune but should be saving about £12 per month by changing my ISP.

Thought that if I start with my site, I will (hopefully) get my passion back and get back into my research.

123-reg was originally part of Pipex, which became part of Tiscali, which is now part of Carphone Warehouse/TalkTalk.

Personally, I wouldn't touch them with a barge-pole, but that's only my opinion, which is probably influenced by the fact that I had to threaten Pipex with court action to get them to pay back the money they took from my bank account without authorisation.

I use Dataflame for my hosting needs.  If you have Sky TV, and your exchange is Sky-enabled, you can get broadband for £5 a month.

I know its been a while since I first posted this question and I still haven't done anything about it...... What with a relationship breakdown, moving out of the house, struggling with my FT brick walls, it slipped my mind.!!!
Anyway, I am now settled in my new home, and am going to go with the Sky package for TV Phone & Internet. Does anyone know if Sky offer any form of webspace or should I still be looking at companies like Dataflame as Nick suggested?

You don't get webspace with Sky Broadband.

Regarding your webspace I am with Purelyhosting

But these guys are highly rated - Vidahost

You could always try something like Google Sites which is free.
