Hi everyone, while researching my family history i discovered and address that my g-grandparents lived which was 579, Richmond Avenue, P.R.S.I., New York, U.S.A., Can anyone tell me what the"P.R.S.I." part of the address might mean.

Hi and Welcome  :)

Apart from an Irish Social Security system, I'm thinking that the S.I. might be for Staten Island - so could it be Postal Region Staten Island or something like that .

I was beaten at the post on this. :)

I have an old Road Atlas of the USA and Canada, and there is a Richmond Ave at Port Richmond, near the Bridge to Bayonne at the North of the Island.
