1841/51/61 Census Trowbridge

I am looking for Eli White and his daughter Sarah Wyoming White, eli was born about 1823 and his daughter about 1855. He also had a son called Alma born about 1846.

Can anyone help me with the census details and also why Sarah may have been given Wyoming as a second name?

Hi Alison here is the 1861 entry Sarah b North Atlantic guess that is where the Wyoming came from.  I am fascinated to see the tripletts survived. Bet that didnt happen too often in those days

Hi Alison, I have extracted all the WHITEs from the 1841 Trowbridge for a friend, and this is the only one with an Eli that I found.  It is probably him, with his age rounded down to 15 as per instructions to enumerator.

silly me, I didn't note his occupation in the later censuses that have been posted, it is certainly him.

Sarah Wyoming White was born 11 Dec 1854 Mid Atlantic, whilst her parents, Eli and Ann (nee Wingrove) were returning from America.
