Hi this is taken from 1877 death cert for Margaret Wightman could you help decipher mothers maiden name please

No, it looks like one of those 'p's which don't have the loop going round in a circle if you can guess what I mean.  ;)
Are there any other letter 'p's on the certificate to compare it with?

I think the occupation is Flax Hackler . . . which, according to Mr Google is someone who combed the flax fibres with a tool called a Hackle . . .  :)
