Birth Yarcombe - William SPILLER
« on: Tuesday 02 June 09 13:53 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the birth of William Spiller b. Yarcombe c.1803.  He is on the 1841 cencus with his parents Henry and Mary and siblings. I have found baptism records for siblings but not for William. Any info. would be appreciated
Many thanks Heather

hi Heather

I cannot see his christening either.

There is, however, a lot of info on the National Archives re; Spillers from Yarcombe.... I wonder if any of the wills/online documents may help? It also seems that your family may have been in the Somerset area, as there are also removal orders back to Yarcombe.

I will keep looking

Thanks for this info. I can not decipher what the word is after Spiller. Looks like ther is an A and an N . There were hundreds of Spillers in Devon and Somerset. My William was b. Yarcombe. C 1803. If I have got the right family which I am sure I have, I have found all the baptisms for his siblings + his parents and their marriage. I have found William  b. 1803 on the 1841 cencus together with parents and a few of his siblings. I am now wondering if he is  a son as the 1841 census only refers to male or female. Perhaps he is a nephew. I will keep looking
