Kettering marriage

Seeking confirmation re marriage of William TOMKINS in Sep Qtr of 1845, FreeBMD shows Ann Loasby, I am sure this is incorrect.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

 Have you looked for Wm Tomkins in 1851 census to see who is shown as his wife?

It shows both an Ann and an Elizabeth Loasby(sisters maybe?)
Also 2 Mary's,you'd need to check out the 1851 as Charlotte suggested to see which chap married which girl.

Although with two Mary's you won't be able to tell which chap married which one

The Northamptonshire Marriage index (which is nearly 100% complete up to 1860) has
William Tomkins and Mary Spence married 26th Aug 1845 in Kettering parish church.

Thankyou Charlotte and Carol for your responses, unfortunately I do not have access to the 1851 census, it was confirmation of her maiden name that I needed.

Glad that the puzzle is solved.

When you don't have a way of looking up a census, [I don't either!] , if you put a post on the relevant board and ask for hlp in a look up someone will come to your rescue.
