1841 Lookup please
« on: Friday 05 June 09 20:28 BST (UK) »
Could SKS please look up the 1841 - I'm so sorry this is all the info
I have.

Father : William Morgan, Preacher of the Gospel
and a daughter Elizabeth Morgan.

On her marriage (1843) it states residence Ynysgollen, Cadoxton, but I believe
she may have been born in Cardiff circa 1824/25, so she would be
about 15/16/17 or so on the census. Don't know mother's name, sorry or any other
siblings.

Many thanks in anticipation

osprey,

thank you for doing that, do you know is it harder just to locate the
farther, William Morgan, preacher, by name and occupation?? or
would that be to difficult, as I was hoping to find Elizabeth
Morgan's family aswell - just a thought. :)

sorry, 1841 online is not searchable by occupation, so it would be a case of searching through all the William Morgan entries. As Elizabeth isn't at home, there'd be no way of knowing if it is the correct William. If her father was a non-conformist preacher, he might be anywhere as sometimes they were organised into circuits. He might also be enumerated under another occupation and be preaching part-time.

Think what I'm saying is the search is too big. I don't know if the census on disc can be searched by occupation. The only online census that can be is 1881.
