I have suggested earlier in this thread that Harrowgirl contact the Woolongong Library as a result of finding William's service record on

They have cemetery records for Coledale and surrounds which may bring up something useful.

Northcote Road Coledale runs down to the Ocean Baths http://www.nswoceanbaths.info/pools/b063.htm

Main Road Coledale doesn't seem to exist anymore, but I would think that it has since been renamed to Lawrence Hargrave Drive to honor Hargrave whose first flight was from just up the hill. Beautiful views from this road (sweeping views over the ocean and back into the escarpment).
