Finding maybe relatives

Trying to trace family of a child brought up in an orphanage and we found out his mother was put away in an institution as they did back then. She was Born Grace Ellen Davis 24 Dec 1901. We are trying to find out if there were siblings born before then as she was  around 33 when incarcerated. I have been unable to find her death as well. Can ayone point me in the right dirction or help out. I would be gratefull for any tips. Her father was William Davis journeyman mother was Amelia Agnes formerly Gardiner 23 Beacon Road,  Hither Green. We have heard that he may have a brother but cannot find anything.

Do you know if Grace ever married at all.. that might be why you cannot find her death as DAVIS??    Also where might any children have been born do you think??

Never married as she was institutionalised all her life after the baby was born.

Grace was never married as far as we know when he was born she was still using her maiden name.

Wendy that could be right or wrong. I have them in them in 1901 census and they have his birth as 1878 at Lamberhurst in Kent so don't know where I am now

Have you by chance checked the 1911 census out to see what info you can gain from there?
