Hi Mar1gold ;D

Pleased you found your way to rootschat and welcome  ;)

There is also a passenger record for William and Ann
on
http://www.ozships.net/ozships/

According to the website many of the passenger records were transcribed from shipping arrivals in the newspapers of the day.

The Argyle manifest  has agent noted as Walker & Co.  I know little about this era of passenger records and am wondering if this is the English or New South Wales agent.

Cheers

Hello  and welcome to Rootschat,

Australia  did indeed take census  but  they  are not open to  the public as you see in  the UK, in fact some of our records were detroyed.  So  we have no cenus to work  from.  However   there sre till some 1841 census records availabe for NSW.

May  I  ask  if  you  have  further Australian information  ie  their deaths etc?

kind thoughts Jenn

No  as I  said in  my post  Australia does not have Census records available like the UK does,  I  take it you  have not  found their deaths?
