My grandfather's friend?
« on: Wednesday 10 June 09 13:21 BST (UK) »
I have inherited this photo with my grandfather's things. Can you decipher the name? Does anyone recognise this man?

My grandfather was in the Royal Artillery from 1928 to 1949, and this photo was in an album full of pics from his time in India (1930-1936).

All help greatly appreciated.

Hi  :)

I've rotated it and it looks like Tom to me.

I go along with Gadget - I immediately read it as Tom without seeing any other posts.

... and, in case you're wondering, Chepstowgirl, the first line is "Sincerely Yours". I must admit that I read it as Sincerely Frank at first glance! But Tom it definitely is.
