expoy.force.france 9/2/1915 to 12/5/1915. expoy.force.medina 25/11/1915 to 17/5/1916.

Possibly wounded with the 2/RDF near Moustrap Farm, sent to UK for treatment and then transferred upon recovery to either the 6th or 7th bns who were serving as part of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force in Salonika by November?

that's why I said "possibly"...but there's got to be some reason for a transfer between battalions in 1915 - maybe nothing to do with his discharge.

He certainly wouldn't have gone to Medina with the RDF though (and he definately wouldn't have been there in 1915 unless he was in the Turkish Army!). It'll be "Mediteranean Expeditionary Force" (ie "Medtn Exp.Force" that you are reading as "Medina" - no "Expeditionary Force" was ever named (or sent to) "Medina")
