WWI Disabled Soldiers Embroidery Industry
« on: Wednesday 10 June 09 22:08 BST (UK) »
I am looking for information for an article I'm writing for a needlework magazine about the embroidery done by WWI disabled veterans. The veterans were assisted by what was then called the Friends of the Poor and Gentlefolks Help which was located at Number 43 Ebury Street in London. I would love to hear the stories of specific people who were involved in the group or to see examples of the embroidery created by the veterans. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated.
