Hi,
Can anyone help i have a birth record for John Garside in Worcester in September 1889 the volume is 6c but the page is given as*a if i send for the certificate will the G.R.O. be able to find it and will the transcription be legible or will there be something missing.

It's an addition on the GRO sheet it says vol 6c page 274A

Hi Keith,

I checked the original page (or at least a scan of it) and the entry you want is handwritten at the end of one column.  I can't read anything in the page ref. except for what seems to be an "A" at the end.

Interestingly the first entry in the next column is for a John GASHIDE, Worcester, Vol 6c p 274, so I wonder whether this could be your man, mis-transcribed into the indexes as GASHIDE?

Looks like my page was clearer than others, Prue  :D

It seems pretty clear on the one I've reproduced.
