The headstone does not give Grissel's date of death or age at death

I am trying to find the death of William Robertson (b. abt 1811 on IGI) and Martha Somerville (b.1795 on IGI)
Both are on the 1841 cencus for Carnwath. Is there anything listed in the Carnwath records. Their marriage was 1835.

J-Mac

Only headstone with the name Martha Somerville I could find was the wife of Maurice Kay

Many headstones are worn flat or are lying face down and some are covered by vegetation

There are three deaths for Martha Somervilles in the OPR burial register for Carnwath.

1st one died 2nd March 1847, abode given as Forth, aged 50 years, no cause of death.

2nd one died 6th April 1847, also in Forth village, aged 25 years, no cause of death stated.

3rd one died 14th February 1854 at Braehead, aged 42 years, cause of death given as consumption.

Looks like the 1st one could be the one you want. No record for William Robertson, sorry.

Lodger.

Thanks, Sancti, Lodger and Slippery for your replies.
The first death posted by Lodger looks possible.
I'll try to find her husband William Robertson on the
post 1855 registers and see if she is mentioned as
William's wife.
