i am looking for a catherine zilla ccurtis , i think parents were thomas j and francess curtis, she married john william kinghorn, but died early in 1901, was she an only child, i have been looking through nsw bdms, but cannot find any informationon her, her family, or whether she had any brothers or sisters, appreciate any help or information, thanks.

The marriage cert would give you more details of where she was born etc.

Like you I can't see a birth in NSW.

May I ask if you have any further information eg where did you find her parents' names?  Was it perhaps from the NSW deaths?  There is one  in 1906, but you have said your Catherine died in early 1901.

unless, the date on the nsw bdm is wrong, that is where i found the only information on catherine, is fanny anothr name for francis

Thomas Joel Curtis and Frances (Fanny) Godfrey had 5 children:

 Elizabeth born COLLINGWOOD 1858  #9482

 Catherine Zillah born  COLLINGWOOD 1862 #7485

 Charlotte born BALLARAT 1864 #6831
 
 William Ebenezer  born BALLARAT 1866 #6080

 Harriet born  BALLARAT 1869 #13375

there is a deaths in Victoria same parents as above

Charlotte died aged 2 BALLARAT 1862 #3938
Wm Ebenezer  Age: 66 Year:  WILLIAMSTOWN 1932 #3236

NSW
a marriage

1885 at MOLONG  ELIZABETH  CURTIS   to JOHN CURRIE #5815
and a death which confirms this is the right person
1945 at  ASHFIELD   ELIZABETH   CURRIE father THOMAS JOEL  mother FANNY #14462
