Deidre if you are looking for the burial records for Thomas J and Fanny you will need to have a look at these cemeteries. Unfortunately not all Sydney cemeteries are online.  Rookwood Anglican is coming online soon.

If they are buried at Rookwood then they don't have a headstone.  I have checked my own resources.

Scroll down the page  to Sydney cemeteries online

My George Phillip Pittard married Fanny Godfrey  Curtis 29Mar1875, Ballarat, Vic.  I now have a photo of them.  Now,  I did have Thomas & Fanny marrying 30Dec1038, Greenwich, Eng, probably from familysearch IGI but your 1848 seems more logical.  Their kids were:  William 1850 UK,  Joel Henry 1852 UK,  Louisa Ann 1853 UK,  died 9Jul1923 Redfern NSW,  Fanny Godfrey 1856 UK,  Elizabeth 1858,  Catherine Zilla 1860,  Charlotte 1864,  William Ebenezer 1856,  Henry Joel 1869,  Harriet 1869.  the last 6 born in Vic.  George Phillip's parents were my ggg granparents.    I don't have any more on Thomas & Fanny.    Cheers.    Annie
