Hi Christopher, this link cover most of the churches of Galway.
Maybe of use to people who are looking? It does not give much info only a map and location of each church

http://jobsoxo.net/oxo_search_ALL.php?t=o&co=Galway&cat=Church%20-%20Chapel%20-%20Cathedral broken link

This one gives a little more info but not much

Hi,

The other Church in Middle Street ( next door to the MI) is the Pro Cathedral where I was confirmed. It was in use up until the late 1960;s. Its records were divided between ST Patrick's Church Forster St Galway and Galway Cathedral !
It was decommissioned and is now in multi use as bookshop, offices and restaurant !

Regards

Eamonn H
