Good idea Carol    :)  Or, they could both be at a different address and had been entered by mistake

Amy, what about a check of the 1911 census index for her using the surname variations under advanced search?  I haven't done that as I don't know what area of the country she would be living in

There's a Charles Perrin on his own living at Pontypool, Monmouthshire on the 1911 census

Maybe Margaret and Florence were visiting their dad, were entered as being at his house, and were crossed out thinking their spouses would give their names as being at their own houses.

That sounded more complicated than I actually meant ???

That happened to me and my family in 1951, and caused a major row between my Dad and my Uncle over who had completed the census correctly!Still remember it 58 years later!!!
