Edward HOOD - Long Shot

Hi All,
Edward Francis Hood was born 1873 in UK the son of Ernest Edward Hood and Mary Drake. He appears on 1881 uk census and then vanishes-well I cant find a marriage or death for him in the UK. Did he possibly go to Australia? Have searched NSW BDM'S and found nothing-maybe other states. As you all know any help always welcome and appreciated.

without finding a definite match.

National Archives had a WW2 record with next of kin Edward Hood place of enlistement WA and a WW1 service records for an Edward James Hood born in  England. But neither is really a match.

Have you looked at New Zealand records at all?

Just to round off the Australian check, I had a look through the South Australian deaths, John, and there's nothing for your man there.

Hi All,
Edward has turned up in the usa. Went in 1890 and appears on 1910/20/30 census there with wife and children.
