Hi Ran
Thanks for your message. It's all so complicated to explain in one message so I would love you e-mail address so I can give you more details - it really is an intriguing story. I believe that your husband's ancestor was Thomas Poulter who was the older brother of my great grandfather Jospeh (or Joel as he was known). I still live in Basingstoke and I did know that some of the Poulters moved to Leatherhead. Joel's wife Sarah Mann also has family who married into the Wild family so there are multiple connections between the Poulter, Mann and Wild families.
I'm more than happy to share our research with you.
Best regards
Sue

Hi, I am also a descendant of William Poulter as he was my GGGG Grandfather. I have been recently researching the family and came to a halt with William, so the information supplied by RanR and others is intriguing to say the least (three possible wives) Thanks to everyone who has contributed to date, and please share anything new you find out.
