Hi,
I'm amazed by all the information received in just a few hours – thank you all very much indeed (and thanks for the welcome!).
Florence Gwendoline Pritchard's death and final resting place are now completely sorted out.
Arthur Henry’s father’s name was Arthur Pritchard (a saddler) and I think that his mother’s name was Rhoda (maiden name unknown).
Regards,

Glad to have been of help, Stephen.

I've checked Victorian deaths, and there's no obvious entry for an Arthur Pritchard listed.

Maybe it would be worth considering getting the death certificate for the Arthur that Cando found  dying in Western Australia in 1904.

If that was the case, I wonder with whom Florence Gwendoline grew up.   :-\

Did Arthur have any relatives living in Australia?

Possible birth

Births Dec 1874
PRITCHARD Arthur Henry     Birkenhead 8a/524

I can see Arthur with mother Rhoda on the 1881 census...Rhoda is detailed as married and charwoman.  If this is the correct Arthur H, then the death in 1904 in Perth of an Arthur aged 50 would not be him, unless of course the age on the death registration is incorrect.

I have looked also at every Arthur PRITCHARD death in Victoria to 1985 and nothing matches.

Hi Dee,
I'm not sure if Arthur H had relatives in Australia but Angelina Elizabeth Pritchard did. Angelina's oldest sister, Lavinia, had emigrated to Australia (along with husband William Edward Clare plus family) a few years before Angelina. Perhaps Florence G lived with this family for a while.
Again, thanks very much for all the help.

I've found Lavinia and William Edward Clare and at least some of their family on the Western Australian Electoral Rolls, and checked to see if there were any listings of a Pritchard with them.....no luck, I'm afraid. But Florence wouldn't have been listed till she was 21 and so may not have been with them at the particular times of the Rolls.

If you want the details of the Clare family on the Rolls, just let us know.

Lavinia, had emigrated to Australia (along with husband William Edward Clare plus family) a few years before Angelina.

Angelina's sister Lavinia had at least 2 more chlldren after immigration.
There are 2 sons recorded as ww1 enlistees.

Alfred Melbourne and Clarence Malcolm.

Interestingly, Alfred was born in Melbourne [South Melbourne] around 1891

Their records are digitised and you will also get some addresses for the parents if you are interested.

Sadly Clarence died in the war.
This does not help you to place your Pritchrds, but may help to piant a bigger picture ;D

Dee & Sue - thanks very much for the additional infomation on William & Lavinia. I'm still digesting everything I've learned about Angelina the past couple of days!
