Hello peeps, boy am i glad i found this place as i have come to a complete standstill in tracing my roots as i cannot understand the script on quite a few of the certs i have gathered. Any assistance would be soOo gratefully received in the meantime any links for calligraphy courses!!!!

attachment1
need to find out Josephs Kennedy details (full name &address, mmn,)figured out Marys as it was clearer & by comparing

attachement 2.
The other is barely legible to me other than i think i can make out the address & it seems that Andrew McKillop & Marian Smith were co-inhabiting...oooerr thought this was pretty much unheard of in the late 1800's

Thanking you in advance (sorry presumptious is my middle name!) ;D

To the contrary  :D  you'd be surprised how often it did happen even back then, in the (relatively recent) late 1800's+   :-X  It may have been unheard and unseen  in the day, cloaked in secrecy - but it wasn't at all unknown!

Cheers

attch 2

need to find out Josephs Kennedy details (full name &address, mmn,)figured out Marys as it was clearer & by comparing letters but cannot make out address for Joseph Kennedy & this vital for my research as i have been able to trace the McKillop side back 6 generations to 1760 but stuck on Joseph Kennedy who would have been my great grandfather. can't find any death or census listings for him. got a niggling feeling that maybe he hailed from Ireland as his parents John Kennedy & elizabeth kennedy (mn Maxwell) marriage cert is also not listed as far as i can see. But heres the thing my nan was a staunch Scottish protestant who vehemently opposed my mum & dads union because my mum is Irish Catholic.  so it just doesn't fit seriously if you knew how almost ignorant of catholics she was including disliking us because we were brought up catholics!it just doesn't!!!
