Gro certs don't appear until 1837.

What you appear to have looked at is Pallot's Marriage Index.
I'd get hold of the film of the parish record if I were you.

There will be a filmed copy of the book recording Baptisms, Marriages .

You can view that film at any LDS centre, although if it's not one near Salop then it may have to be ordered in.

This looks like the 1841 Census for the family

 Enumeration District: 10; Folio: 5; Page: 3
All born here
George Weston 35  Ag Lab

This may be worth a look

On the IGI

Birth
WILIAM WESTON 8/1/1764 Alberbury to Samuel Weston and Elizabeth Batch PO15821 extract

Mmm bit of a glitch here I think

His death cert shows him age 45 in 1843 but the 1841 census puts him aged 33/35

Hadn't noticed this before! Which is most likely to be correct?

Any suggestions? and thanks

Pauline would have a better answer on this one then I have  :) Please correct me if Iam wrong Pauline.

A lot of people of this era could not read or write so what was put down was what the ennumerator heard. Which could sometimes account for the inaccuracies.
also in the 1841 census

"The ages of people over 15 years old were usually rounded down to the nearest 5 years. Therefore, someone who was actually 24 years would have their age listed as 20, and someone who was actually 27 years old would have their age listed as 25."

Mariac
