I am still no closerto finding the right Palins  ::) There were a huge amount of them and such a small area too that it's almost impossible. I am hoping that the marriage cert will help a bit.
I have found out that his parents had a sweet/paper shop in Hoole? Is that right? Am relying on my Grandmother for little bits of information!

Hi Fran. Did you get my pm about the Palin family that I knew from the 1950s/60s who came to Salford from Liverpool?  Was any of the info any good? x x

Hello and thank you so much, I actually found the information I wanted and managed to piece together a substantial family tree.
There are a few members that I am a bit sketchy on though; If you have any info that doesn't include the huge Palin/Smythe family tree I would be very grateful.

Hi Tony - We're actually 5th cousins. Your line is descended through William Palin (1758-1834), son of Thomas Palin (1714-1800). I'm descended through William's brother, John (1749-1833). Any information on your family would be greatly appreciated. If you haven't yet seen a public Palin tree you may wish to visit http://www.tribalpages.com/tribe/browse?userid=palinfamily where you can find the connection...

Hi I'm not sure if this will reach anyone as I realise these messages were from a while back. I'm the great granddaughter of Lucy Maud Palin 1901 and mother of Amy Victoria France's on the headstone picture on Rosa Annie on the family tree link on these messages.  I am just starting on my journey to discover my family tree.
