this is going to be a hard one! Any help greatly appreciated. I am trying to trace my great grandfather, apparently he was a foundling 'found' in moira, i have been able to trace a birth record

 how do i get a birth certificate for him?
how can i find him in a census
he had a business in dalton street belfast  E.H. MCCONNELL METALS (BELFAST) LIMITED
thank you. dont know much about him, apart from he lived in helens bay, and is buriied in st johns church moira, he died around 1955

If you look at "Irish resources" then you should be able to turn up a few hints/links.

thanks Pauline - i have already posted onto the irish bit!! have now tracked my ggfather down in 1911 as living in morpeth! He did travel.
