Catherine Davidson born 1872 in Scotland, emigrated &  married Alex Brown Wood in Australia in 1897.

They had 2 sons born in Ascot Vale
Alex Davidson Wood in 1901 and Donald Davidson Wood born 1904.

This information is truly amazing and I am thrilled that Zita died so recently as 1992. There may well be relations that  have known her and I'm very excited at the thought of some living relatives out there!!

Have you thought of contacting the funeral director for Zita's funeral...listed on her burial record on the link to Fawkner Cemetery above.  If not prevented by the Privacy Act, they may give you the name of the person who arranged the funeral.

There are three death notices for Zita Wood in The Herald-Sun Saturday June 27, 1992, with lists of 2 children, 8 grandchildren and mentions of her being great grandmother of seven.

I have scanned these notices for you.  If you would like them please PM me with your email address.

The Funeral Notice, in the same issue, is for a requiem mass at St Brigid's Catholic Church, Healesville on Wed Jul 1, followed by burial at Fawkner.

Couldn't see any notices for Alexander.
